Militants hijacked a train in southwest Pakistan, taking hostages and wearing suicide vests, complicating rescue efforts. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility and threatened to execute hostages unless Baloch political prisoners are released. So far, 155 passengers have been rescued, and 27 militants have been killed. The BLA is an ethnic armed group fighting the Pakistani government in Balochistan province.
