💨 Abstract
Rawalpindi, Pakistan is experiencing a severe water shortage due to the disconnection of electricity to nine key tubewells by the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) over unpaid dues worth PKR 1.8 billion by the Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa). The power cut has left several localities without water, causing distress among residents who have resorted to buying water from tankers or distant sources.
