Pakistan has reported a new case of polio in Tank, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, bringing the total to 69 for the year. This is a concern as Pakistan and Afghanistan remain the last two endemic countries for polio. The disease primarily affects children under five and can lead to paralysis. The persistence of polio is due to security concerns, vaccine hesitancy, and misinformation.
