đź’¨ Abstract
Forces from Somalia's Puntland region have captured territory from Islamic State (IS) in a weeks-long offensive, according to officials and Reuters reporters. The advances come after IS was targeted by air strikes from the U.S. The region's security forces have captured 250 square kilometres from IS, including 50 bases, and killed at least 85 IS militants.
