The Biden administration has announced expanded sanctions against Russia's State Atomic Energy Corporation, Rosatom, for its role in the Ukraine conflict. Rosatom, a global leader in nuclear energy technologies, has deemed the sanctions as unlawful and unfair competition from unfriendly countries. Two Indian companies and senior officials from Rosatom were among the over 150 entities and individuals affected by the sanctions, which have the potential to cost the Russian economy billions of dollars per month.
