💨 Abstract
Russia is on the brink of regaining control of its western Kursk region, having pushed Ukrainian forces out of one of their last strongholds in Guyevo, according to regional governor Alexander Khinshtein and state media. The Defence Ministry released video footage of the recapture, but Ukraine has yet to comment. Russian forces reportedly have to expel troops from two more settlements to reclaim the entire region.
