Russia's financial watchdog has rejected a request to remove the late opposition leader Alexei Navalny from its "terrorists and extremists" list. Navalny's widow, Yulia, said the watchdog's letter cited an ongoing criminal investigation into money laundering and terrorism financing. Navalny died in an Arctic penal colony in February after being jailed on various charges he rejected as attempts to silence him.
