Russian shelling in and around the eastern Ukrainian city of Pokrovsk resulted in the deaths of five people on Thursday. Two fatalities occurred in Pokrovsk, a logistics hub from which authorities urged residents to evacuate. Additional deaths were reported in nearby areas, including Bylitske and Illinivka.
