Despite a devastating earthquake in March, Myanmar will continue with plans to build a small-scale nuclear power plant, led by Russian state-owned firm Rosatom. The plant will have an initial capacity of 110 MW and will be constructed with two 55 MW reactors. Rosatom intends to follow the highest international safety and reliability standards, including strict seismic resistance requirements.
