💨 Abstract

A roof collapse at a railway station in Novi Sad, Serbia on Friday resulted in 14 deaths and three injuries. The incident led to a national day of mourning and protests. The station was renovated in 2021-2022, and authorities launched an investigation and plan to interview 20 people, including the Transport Minister, regarding the disaster. Opposition politicians accused the government of corruption, nepotism, and excessive red tape.
