💨 Abstract
In northwest Turkey, seven police officers were injured in a clash with suspected Islamic State militants in Yalova province. The incident occurred during an overnight police operation at a house believed to contain militants. The operation is ongoing, with sporadic gunfire and smoke reported at the scene. The wounded officers were taken to nearby hospitals and are not in serious condition. Turkish police had previously detained 115 suspected Islamic State members planning attacks on Christmas and New Year celebrations.
