South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol has had his detention extended by a South Korean court due to concerns he may destroy evidence in a criminal probe related to his declaration of martial law. Yoon became the first sitting South Korean president to be arrested last Wednesday and has so far refused to cooperate with investigators. The detention can last up to 20 days, and he is being held at the Seoul Detention Centre.
