💨 Abstract

South Korean authorities attempted to arrest impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol at his residence over insurrection allegations related to his Dec. 3 martial law declaration. The arrest warrant is the first against an incumbent South Korean president, and follows a previous failed attempt on Jan. Yoon's lawyers argue the arrest is illegal and designed to humiliate him.
