South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol faces a new attempt to arrest him for insurrection, as a top investigator vows to break a security blockade around the presidential compound. Yoon is under investigation for attempting to impose martial law, and is also facing an impeachment trial. Protesters on both sides of the issue braved cold weather to rally outside the compound, which has been fortified with barbed wire and barricades.
