The deadliest flash floods in modern Spanish history have resulted in at least 211 deaths in Valencia, with many still missing. The government has deployed 7,500 soldiers for search and cleanup efforts, making it the largest peacetime military operation in Spain. Volunteers are also assisting, and power has been restored to 90% of households. A new weather alert has been issued in the Balearic Islands, Catalonia, and Valencia.
