Sri Lanka's new President, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, appointed Harini Amarasuriya, a university professor and first-time lawmaker, as the country's new Prime Minister. Amarasuriya, also holding portfolios of foreign affairs, education, and media, becomes the third woman to hold the post.
