💨 Abstract

Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake appointed Harini Amarasuriya as the 16th Prime Minister of Sri Lanka. Amarasuriya, an academic, rights activist, and university lecturer, is known for her work in education and social justice. She is the first academic-turned-politician to assume office and the third woman Prime Minister of Sri Lanka.
