💨 Abstract
In the Sri Lankan presidential election, no candidate secured over 50% of the votes required to win. Election Commission Chairman R M A L Rathnayake announced that Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Sajith Premadasa secured the maximum votes. As neither candidate met the 50% threshold, a second preference vote will be counted and added to their totals.
