💨 Abstract

A 33-year-old Guatemalan man, Sebastian Zapeta, was charged with murder and arson for allegedly setting a woman on fire and watching her burn to death on a New York City subway train. Zapeta, who entered the US without authorization in 2018 and was deported, was arrested with a lighter in his pocket. The woman, whose identity remains unknown, had no prior interaction with the suspect.
