Switzerland has passed a law set to take effect on May 15, prohibiting Hamas and related organizations. The measure aims to prevent Hamas from using Switzerland as a safe haven by facilitating entry bans or expulsions. The law, passed in December 2022, was prompted by Hamas' attack on Israel in October 2023, which resulted in over 1,200 deaths and the capture of 251 hostages.
