💨 Abstract

The Syrian defense ministry announced plans to investigate reports of "shocking violations" in the Druze city of Sweida, where recent sectarian clashes and fighting between Druze militia, government forces, and Bedouin tribes resulted in over 300 deaths. Israel intervened with airstrikes, citing protection of the Druze minority, and a ceasefire was agreed upon with regional support from Turkey, Jordan, and neighbors. Separately, the interior ministry is probing allegations of field executions.
