💨 Abstract
Taiwan's undersea cables to the Matsu Islands were disconnected due to natural deterioration, according to the Ministry of Digital Affairs. The cables were expected to be restored by the end of February, with backup communications activated to partially resume internet services. No suspicious ships were detected when the cables went offline, but cases of ships damaging Taiwan's sea cables have been on the rise.
