💨 Abstract
Typhoon Krathon struck the southern Taiwanese city of Kaohsiung, causing flooding, damaging buildings, and knocking out power for 100,000 households. The storm, now a tropical depression, also resulted in two deaths and 667 injuries. The rest of Taiwan resumed work and financial markets reopened, but Kaohsiung and neighboring Pingtung county declared another day off for clean-up efforts.
