💨 Abstract

On Tuesday, Taiwan's defense ministry reported a record 153 Chinese warplanes surrounding the island during China's "Joint Sword-2024B" exercises on Monday. Taiwan spotted 28 aircraft crossing the sensitive Taiwan Strait median line and activities in other areas, including off Taiwan's southeastern coast and near the Taiwan-controlled Pratas Islands. Additionally, 14 navy ships and 12 official ships were also observed.
