💨 Abstract

Between September 30, 2024, and October 1, Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense detected nine Chinese military aircraft and four naval vessels in its vicinity. Eight aircraft crossed the median line, entering Taiwan's southwestern air defense identification zone. This is part of a series of recent provocations by China, which has been increasing its military activities near Taiwan, including regular incursions into Taiwan's air defense identification zone and naval exercises.
