Tanzanian police arrested three opposition leaders, including CHADEMA's chairman Freeman Mbowe and deputy Tundu Lissu, to prevent anti-government protests in Dar es Salaam. The arrests were made amid plans to protest alleged killings and abductions of government critics. Additionally, three journalists were taken into custody while covering the protests.
