💨 Abstract
Thailand has become the first country in Southeast Asia and the third in Asia to recognize same-sex marriages, following the King's endorsement of a marriage equality bill passed earlier this year. The law, approved by the Senate in June, will take effect in 120 days, making Thailand a destination known for its LGBT culture and tolerance. The royal endorsement was published in the official royal gazette on Tuesday.
