💨 Abstract
TikTok, a popular social media app owned by China's ByteDance, stopped working for its 170 million U.S. users on Saturday, a day before President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration. The shutdown was due to a law passed by Congress citing national security concerns. Trump had earlier promised to give TikTok a 90-day reprieve after taking office.
