💨 Abstract
The trial to import petroleum products including petrol and kerosene from India via the expanded Motihari-Amlekhgunj pipeline has begun in Nepal. The pipeline, which earlier supplied only diesel, has been upgraded with larger storage tanks, automatic loading facilities, a pump house, a dedicated laboratory, and improved safety measures. Regular imports are expected to start in January 2025, with delays due to final preparations.
