💨 Abstract

Tropical Depression Sara caused one death, forced thousands to evacuate, and destroyed infrastructure in Honduras due to heavy rainfall. Airports were shuttered, and schools were closed as a precaution. The storm made landfall in Belize, threatening major flooding, and was expected to weaken as it moved further inland over Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula.
