💨 Abstract
Tropical Storm John moved inland along Mexico's southern Pacific coast on Tuesday, causing two deaths in a mudslide, damaging infrastructure, and disrupting power and phone services. The storm, downgraded from hurricane strength, is predicted to bring further heavy rainfall, especially in Guerrero state, one of Mexico's poorest. The affected area includes cargo ports and popular tourist resorts, with some airports closed and residents urged to seek higher ground.
