Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, announced on Tuesday his intention to impose a 100% tariff on cars entering the US from Mexico, should he win the Nov. 5 election against Vice President Kamala Harris. He suggested that the tariff would only be lifted if car manufacturers choose to establish plants in the US.
