President Donald Trump expressed a desire to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin soon to end the war in Ukraine and work towards reducing nuclear arms. Trump stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy is ready to make a deal to end the conflict. Trump also threatened to impose sanctions and tariffs on Russia if it does not reach a settlement. Additionally, Trump stated that Putin has threatened to use nuclear weapons in the war against Ukraine.
