💨 Abstract

The Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has reportedly captured a Pakistani check post near the Afghanistan border in Bajaur, a tribal district in northwest Pakistan. However, a senior security official claims the post was vacated as part of a "thinning" process, with troops moved to a newer, fortified structure, not just in Bajaur, but also North and South Waziristan districts.
