Turkey will urge U.S. Under Secretary of State John Bass, during talks in Ankara, to eliminate terrorist groups in Syria for stability and security. The talks come amid threats from Turkey to launch a military operation against the Kurdish YPG militia in northeastern Syria if they fail to meet demands. The YPG is a key component of the U.S.-allied Syrian Democratic Forces, which played a crucial role in defeating Islamic State in Syria.
