💨 Abstract
Ugandan opposition politician Kizza Besigye was kidnapped during a book launch in Kenya, transferred to Uganda, and is currently being held in a military jail in Kampala, according to his wife Winnie Byanyima. Besigye has run against President Yoweri Museveni multiple times and has been arrested numerous times before. Museveni's government has been accused of human rights abuses against opposition leaders and supporters.
