💨 Abstract

A French-supplied Mirage 2000 fighter jet crashed in Ukraine's northwestern Volyn region due to equipment failure. The pilot ejected safely and was recovered in stable condition. This marks the first loss of a Mirage jet since Ukraine began receiving them earlier this year. The incident is part of Ukraine's ongoing efforts to upgrade its air force with help from Western allies, including U.S.-made F-16 jets.
