💨 Abstract
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated on Monday that Russia has suffered heavy losses in five months of fighting Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region, with nearly 15,000 soldiers killed. Zelenskiy made these remarks in his nightly video address without providing any proof of the figures. Ukraine launched an incursion into the Kursk region in August and has seized territory, though Russia's military claims it has recaptured much of it.
