đź’¨ Abstract
The U.N. Libya mission has expressed concern over footage showing brutal torture of detainees at the Gernada detention facility in eastern Libya, consistent with ongoing human rights violations in Libyan detention centers. The mission called for an immediate investigation and unrestricted access to the facility, with no response yet from Libyan authorities. Libya has been in chaos since the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi's regime in 2011.
