💨 Abstract
The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, visited Syria for the first time, marking the first visit by a global rights chief to the country. Turk will meet with officials, civil society groups, diplomats, and U.N. bodies during his visit from January 14-16.
