Israeli forces fired on positions used by U.N. peacekeepers in Lebanon, injuring two peacekeepers, while Hezbollah fired missiles at Israeli forces. Israel recommended U.N. peacekeepers to move away from the border as they intensify their offensive against Hezbollah, following a year-long conflict that erupted over support for Palestinian militant group Hamas. The Middle East remains on high alert for further escalation in the region.
