The U.S. has admitted Romania into its Visa Waiver Program, allowing Romanian citizens to travel visa-free for up to 90 days from around March 31. Romania met stringent security requirements, including cooperating with U.S. law enforcement on terrorism and serious crimes. Romania is the 43rd country and the fourth under President Biden to join the program.
