💨 Abstract
The US Defense Department appeals court has ruled in favor of controversial plea agreements for three men accused of orchestrating the 9/11 attacks. The accused include Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged mastermind, and two accomplices. Under the agreements, they would serve life sentences for admitting their roles in the al-Qaeda plot that killed 2,977 people.
