💨 Abstract
Tanmaya Lal, Secretary (West) at the Ministry of External Affairs, called for UN Security Council (UNSC) reform to make it more representative, transparent, and efficient. He stated that the current multilateral response to conflicts is inadequate and the UNSC, designed in a different era, needs to become more democratic and accountable. Lal criticized Pakistan for its alleged support of terrorism and India reiterated its commitment to nuclear disarmament.
