The United States is set to sign a $920 million direct loan agreement with Romania on Wednesday to aid its defense modernization program. This loan, granted through the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) mechanism, will primarily support the Romanian defense ministry, while a portion will go to state-owned ROMARM for weapons and ammunition production.
