💨 Abstract

The United States will reduce the "de minimis" tariff on low-value items imported from China, starting May 14, 2025. This move comes after a deal between Beijing and Washington to unwind tariffs on each other’s goods. The tariff will drop to 54% from 120% for items up to $800, with a $100 flat fee remaining.
