💨 Abstract

The U.S. is reducing tariffs on low-value shipments from China as part of moves to de-escalate a trade war. A new executive order drops tariffs on direct-to-consumer postal shipments from 120% to 54% for items up to $800 and maintains a $100 flat fee per postal package. Commercial deliveries face a 30% tariff instead of 145%.
