He also signed executive orders to roll back protections for transgender people and terminate diversity, equity, and inclusion programs within the federal government. The orders, based on his campaign promises, also segregate prisons, migrant shelters, and rape crisis centers by sex and restrict the use of federal funds for "transition services."
