💨 Abstract
The World Health Organization and health organizations have allocated 899,000 vaccine doses for 9 African countries affected by the current mpox surge. The WHO declared mpox a global health emergency in August, with a new variant spreading from the Democratic Republic of Congo. The largest number of doses will go to the Democratic Republic of Congo, the most affected country. The vaccines are from Europe, the US, Canada, and Gavi.
