💨 Abstract
Venezuela has released 225 people arrested during anti-government protests following its disputed presidential election in July. The attorney general, Tarek Saab, stated that the releases were based on new evidence gathered by prosecutors. Local rights group Foro Penal reported that over 100 people were freed across four prisons, with at least 1,800 people arrested after the election in July.
